Each month in 2019 covers five years of award winners of the Hugo and Nebula awards (though the Nebula awards begin in February). The challenge is to read at least one book from the winners of that month, make a post about it either on your blog or social media, tag it with #sffreverb, and engage with other readers about what you read. In January, you’d have five books to choose from, but in every month following, you’ll have roughly ten books to choose from (some books have won Hugos and Nebulas in the same span of time). You’re welcome to read only one, or you’re welcome to read all of them listed! There will be monthly roundups so you can share your links to your posts, and I hope that the use of the hashtag will help you find new SFF friends!
At the end of every month, I’ll make a discussion post on Instagram so we can all converge and have a big chat! Around the end of the month, I’ll post the next month’s reading challenge as well so you have time to decide what you want to read and get your hands on it from the library or your favorite bookstore.
Did I mention there will be giveaways?? There will be giveaways! Each book you read and make a post about from that month’s challenge gets you an entry into a giveaway to win a SFF book of your choice up to $15USD from Book Depository (so if BD ships to your country, you can enter)! In the middle of each month, look for a Google Form to submit your posts. Winners will be drawn the first week of the following month. The giveaways are not affiliated with any social media platform posted on and are hosted by me and only me unless otherwise specified, and I won’t be responsible for late/lost shipments from Book Depository (I’ll email you with shipping confirmation!).
More information will be added as necessary.
